Reading Lists

There are a few particular areas in children’s literature that I have a particular interest in, and so this page will archive reading lists for those particular topics.  A lot of these titles are crowdsourced so my thanks to everyone who has contributed. All of the lists are editable, so I will continue to update them should I come across new titles (and I’m more than happy for you to add a title!).

A lot of the lists have multiple sheets – make sure you scroll right to the bottom of the sheet to see if there’s anything you’ve missed!

  5. Regarding the ‘Read your way around the UK’ list, do the Channel Islands count? (Yes, I actually live in Guernsey, where the latter part of ‘The Chalet School in Exile’ and ‘Maids of La Rochelle’ were set (and the homeplace of the Chesters, Lucys and Ozannes).)
